Mr. NHOR RAVY

Ravy Nhor is a government official and a part-time faculty member. He began his career as a government official in 2013 when he joined the Secretariat General of Constitutional Council of Cambodia (CCC) as an administrator. Through dedication and expertise, he advanced to deputy director of the office and later became the director of the Protocol office. Beyond his governmental contributions, he has joined the University of Cambodia (UC) in 2022 as a faculty member where his impact extends into education. As a lecturer, he has played a vital role in ensuring effective quality learning of his students in their undergraduate studies and helping them in their academic and English language professionals. 
 
Ravy Nhor holds a Master’s Degree of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from The University of Cambodia (2019) and a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (2017). In 2024, he has successfully completed a training programme for middle-ranked government official with a certificate of General Public Administration from the Royal School of Administration.  
 
His passion for education goes beyond the classroom since he actively engages in research on formative assessment, ICT in education, and shadow education, which addressing key challenges within Cambodian teaching and learning environments, helping refine student-centered learning practices, and ensuring education for all.
 
As an educator, his teaching philosophy focuses on quality instruction enhances learning quality, and learning quality enhances individual quality which prospers the community. Regarding to this philoshophy, he plays two vital roles such as providing teaching quality for learning quality and producing quality human capital for community. He promotes student learning quality by empoying various approaches and techniques namely: student-centre approach or communicative approach, collaboration and innovation, and technology-driven technique. Also, he thrives to activate his students to be as an active learner, as a good friend and as a good human capital of society. 
 
Overall, his contributions to society spans public service and education sector. His leadership in public administration helps maintain institutional effectiveness, while his role as an educator and researcher strengthens Cambodia’s academic landscape. His dedication to knowledge-sharing makes him a pivotal figure in Cambodia’s educational advancement.
